Born March 10,1939 in Logan, Utah, Bill soloed December, 1960 at Moscow-Pullman Airport, Washington. Commissioned a 2nd Lt. in the USAF June, 11,1961 and served as a pilot in the Air Force until March 1967 flying KC-135 tankers at Westover AFB, Massachusetts (SAC) 99th AREFS.
Joined United Airlines as a pilot May 1,1967. Flew almost every aircraft United flew in that period and retired as a 747 Captain April 1,1999. Served in the United Pilots as ALPA Council Rep. and various Committees 1978-1988. Served as a Flight Operations Manager from 1990-1997. Served as Chief Pilot of the United Honolulu Domicile Nov. 1995 - Nov. 1997.
