    Christopher Demers has worked at Pratt & Whitney's Flight Safety Office as an accident and incident investigator since June 2007. He provides Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines with day-to-day oversight of flight safety issues and performs accident and incident investigations. Chris also shares responsibility for developing, implementing and managing a pro-active safety management culture within Pratt and Whitney.
    Chris joined P&W in 1977 and has held many different positions in Commercial Engine Engineering. Prior to his current assignment, Chris managed the Compression System Module Center Validation efforts for Global Material Solutions products, and also managed the Validation and FAA Certification efforts for the GP7000 Compressor Modules. Chris’ earlier experience includes the positions of Program Group Technical Leader for PW4000 Compression Systems, Analytical Engineer for Compressor Aerodynamics Design and Operability on PW4000 and PW2000 programs, Test Engineering in support of the JT9D-7R4 Flight and Compliance Test program, and Hardware Engineer for JT9D Externals and Controls.
    Chris received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst in 1977.
