Air and Space Friend
Honored by:
Chris Smurthwaite has always been an adventurous individual, which led to his dedication to follow his family's background of flying. His interest goes back as far as World War II where his grandfather, Cmdr. Earl R. Tarleton was a fighter pilot flying the F4U Corsair as well as a fighter pilot in the Korean War. Chris' uncle also followed similar footsteps and became a private pilot when he was 18. Chris's love for flying prompted his getting his private license when he was 19 years old and will undoubtedly continue throughout his lifetime.
Wall of Honor profiles are provided by the honoree or the donor who added their name to the Wall of Honor. The Museum cannot validate all facts contained in the profiles.
