Clark Adams enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1943. He was commissioned a 2nd Lt and assigned as a B-17 pilot. After WWII he achieved a law degree and joined North American Aviation, Inc., a prominent aircraft manufacturer. At NAA, he was involved with projects on the following aircraft: F-86, F-100, F-108, XB-70 and B-1.
