Clyde W. Ice was born in 1889, and died in 1992. He taught himself to fly in 1919. He took a Ford Trimotor from
the Ford Factory on May 28th, 1928, which was his 39th birthday. It was the first Ford used for Barnstorming. He was known as Mr. Aviation in South Dakota. He did Crop Spraying until he was 83 years old, and flew until he was 90 years old, and lived to be 103 years old. Clyde raised four sons, all of them pilots, and 3 of them pilots in World War II.
