    CMSgt. (Ret) Robert D. Blackketter, USAF February 2, 1962 - October 1, 1982. Served in the "Cold War" with the Strategic Air Command (SAC) and Pacific Air Forces/SAC in Vietnam. Participated as a Munitions Maintenance Technician in the test program for development of the B-52D High-Density Bombing System; supported the first ARC LIGHT deployment of the aircraft to Anderson AFB Guam in 1966.

    In 1967 he trained the loading crews and deployed to Utapao AB Thailand with the first B-52s. CMSgt Blackketter spent three years on SAC Maintenance, Standardization and Evaluation Team (MSET), and four years with PACAF IG. As Maintenance Superintendent for the Test Support Squadron, Edwards AFB, supported the test and acceptance of the A-10, F-16, F-15 and Air-Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) weapons systems.

    After retirement from the USAF, he joined Lockheed Martin Corporation as Systems Supportability Engineer. There he developed support concepts and requirements for new systems such as Airborne Laser, Cruise Missiles, National Missile Defense and Fleet Ballistic Missile Systems.
