    Col. Levine served as an engineering officer during World War II in the European Theatre. After the war he remained in the service. His career led him to Officer in Charge of Maintenance of the 15th Air Force and then Officer in Charge of Maintenance for the 8th Air Force. He then became the Officer in Charge of all maintenance and was stationed at the Pentagon. He was also one of the first officers to be given Nuclear Training at Sandia Labs in ALB.
