Colonel Thomas H. Wilson, a native of Duluth, Minnesota, received his Air Force wings in 1952 and subsequently flew 79 combat missions in the F-80 and F-86 in the Korean conflict. He continued his career flying every fighter in the inventory.

He also served as an exchange pilot with the Royal Air Force flying the Lightning. He was then qualified and flew 195 combat missions from Da Nang AB, Vietnam in the F-4 in 1969.

He retired in 1974 with over 4,000 hours. Decorations: Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross with one Oak Leaf cluster, and the Air Medal with 11 Oak Leaf clusters.
