Joined Aviation Cadet program in March, 1942 and graduated in class 42K from Luke Field. Started fling combat in North Africa in P-38 aircraft. Shot down 1 ME-1C and probably shot down one more plus damaging an additional two. Stayed in service and completed another combat tour flying P-51 aircraft in Korea from August 1950 until March, 1951 I remained in the Air Force rising to the rank of Colonel and retired in February, 1950
