    Col. Arko graduated from the U. S, Air Force Academy and has made a career of flying to defend the United States of America. Col. Arko has not only been a pilot of the B-52G and B-1B bombers he has also been and Instructor Pilot helping to train future Air Force pilots. He holds a Command Pilot rating and has flown the B-1B, B-52G, T-37, AT-38 and C-21 with Instructor Pilot ratings. Col. Arko was a Squadron Commander and has flown in combat. He has been an example to his men and insisted on their best efforts. Col. Arko has also been a proponent of safety. He has developed bombing tactics for the B-1B and B-52G. Col. Arko is currently Commander HQ Air Force Flight Standards located at Andrews AFB.
