    Col. Dallas P Sartz
    Born on October 9 1942 in Everett, Washington.
    Died on October 171998 in Everett, Washington.
    Joined the AAF on March 1943. Served in the Pacific while completing his education at Washington State University. He joined the Washington Air National Guard in Spokane. WA in 1950. The squadron was activated during the Korean War. The 116th Squadron flew the Atlantic, which was the first crossing of F-86As, to Shepherd's Grove, England until 1953. He returned to Spokane to be a commander and test pilot until retired in 1978 with almost 40 years of service. He was a Command Pilot with over 4,800 flight hours.
    He flew and was proficient in eleven different aircraft, including the F-86A.
