A graduate of New York University’s School of Engineering, Dan Berlin founded Arkwin Industries in 1951. An engineering and manufacturing company producing hydraulic components for the aerospace industry, Arkwin has parts on virtually all GE jet engines, the Space Shuttle, Sikorsky Helicopters, and various military and commercial airplanes. Singled out in 1976 as national winner of the Small Business Subcontractor of the Year Award, Arkwin is located in Westbury, Long island (New York). Dan Berlin was named Entrepreneur of the Year in 2001 by Ernst and Young.
