Born: Delavan, IL March 6, 1925, aviation oriented from mother, who saw Jimmy Ward fly in 1913. Remember hearing Charles Lindberg fly over in DeHaviland .mail plane (was 3 1/2). Childhood toys were aircraft, until I could build my toys and model aircraft. In December, 1959, I delivered a Curtiss B-23 American Airlines CONDOR model to the Smithsonian. I flew models in National Championships and directed the SCALE events for national competition for 3 years. I am a museum curator, model designer: manufacturer and an OX5 historian.
