David T. Velianoff was an Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, who devoted his entire working life to aviation safety. He held an FAA Mechanic Certificate with an A&P rating for forty years, incident and accident free. He began his career with Zantop, and moved on to United Parcel Service (UPS) in the late 1980s. He was well-known and liked in the industry. His coworkers looked up to him as an experienced mechanic who was always willing to share his expertise even during off hours. Dave spent most of his working career in Ypsilanti, MI, and Fort Myers, FL.

Dave had a warm and friendly personality, easily making friends wherever he went. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and traveled cross country several times. After retiring from UPS, Dave relocated with his wife Michele to Lansdowne, Pennsylvania and was restoring an 80 year old stone home at the time of his death in March, 2021.

Dave will always be remembered for the kind and loving person that he was, and for the fact that he made the skies a little safer.
