?»?Don "Hollywood" Brown was born June 19, 1977 Don's love for aviation began at an early age. "As long as I can remember every time I saw an airplane I had to stop and look". "We drove by a local field on the way home from school that advertised rides for $10 but my mom the single mother could never find it in the budget to let me go for a ride". Years later the opportunity presented itself to take an introductory flight which was also his first flight in a small airplane. He immediately began flight training earning a Private Pilot ticket then went onto instrument and commercial ratings with several specialties such as seaplanes and aerobatics. He has since then involved himself in everything aviation becoming a Lieutenant in the Civil Air Patrol flying counter drug and rescue missions. He also volunteers his time to schools teaching kids about aviation and aerodynamics. Don has written several aviation magazine and newspaper articles that have been published worldwide. Probably the most amazing achievement is that Don has done all of this while working full time and raising four children by himself as a single father. He is currently working towards a flight instructor rating and plans on starting a flight school specializing in aerobatic and seaplane instruction in 2010. He also plans to start a flight training program to allow at risk kids the opportunity to learn to fly for free.
