Dr. Darryl Trulin's engineering career was evenly split between teaching and working in the aerospace/defense industry. His industrial experience involved the design, analysis, and test of tactical missiles and defensive weapon systems. As a member of various project teams, Dr. Trulin was able to share in the excitement and satisfaction of achieving project goals.
His teaching experience was in aerospace and mechanical engineering at Iowa State University and California Polytechnic State University. Being a part of students' learning process as they acquired the knowledge and skills necessary to become productive engineers and sensitive members of society provided Dr. Trulin with a great sense of fulfillment. He encouraged students to follow their aerospace dreams with deep passion and the highest ethical standards.
