    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:

The honor and privilege of working on the development of early commercial communications satellites through their evolution to multi kilowatt systems delivering global video and Internet services have been mine. From the development of satellite primary power, radiation tests of new solar cells, a solar cell patent, and many publications to the management of satellite programs and to the development of new commercial satellites, from an idea to launched satellites resulting in a large, viable business, I have enjoyed the wonders of seeing new ideas developed to full fruition and of working with outstanding men and women at COMSAT, ORION and Loral Space & Communications. I have been rewarded watching the completion of these state of the art projects and the growth of the people I have worked with and led. I have been privileged to have been the General Chairman of the 1975 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Photovoltaic’s Specialists Conference, a Senior Member of IEEE, a member of various committees (Aerospace Power, Communications & Finance) of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and the General Chairman of the 1988 AIAA International Communications Satellite Systems Conference. I was deeply honored to be elected a Fellow of the AIAA in 1993 in recognition of my work on aerospace power and commercial communications satellites.
