    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:
    Springsteen Silks

Erick was our son and brother. He had a rare muscle disease and as a result died when he was 12. An extremely intelligent person, he was fascinated about everything that had to do with outer space and space exploration. He strongly believed that there are other life forms in other galaxies and he faithfully watched every space launch and landing. A high point in his life was our trip to Edwards Air Force Base in Palmdale, CA to watch a shuttle landing. After the landing we noticed that Challenger was mounted on its 747 and was ready to take off. It was an added thrill for all of us, but especially for Erick. He died while on a camping trip to the Grand Canyon shortly after spending an evening stargazing with friends. Had he lived to adulthood we know that he would have been involved in space exploration in some way and this museum would have been extremely important to him. Inclusion on this wall is something that we feel he would find important and a great honor as well.

Wall of Honor profiles are provided by the honoree or the donor who added their name to the Wall of Honor. The Museum cannot validate all facts contained in the profiles.
