Erik Lofgren was born in Peoria, IL and raised in Appleton, WI.
- B.S. in Marketing, Drake University Business School 1992
- Enlisted in U.S. Army 1994-1998; deployed to Bosnia, Croatia, Albania and Tunisia
- Attended Army Airborne School and Winter Patrolling, International Long Range Reconnaissance and Patrolling School
- Extensive travel throughout Europe, Africa, and Latin American
- Earned his Private Pilot license and instrument rating in Leesburg, VA and Commercial Single- and Multi-Engine ratings in Wisconsin, and received Instructor certificate in Vero Beach, FL between 2002-2004
- Eglin Air Force Base, FL Aero Club Certified Flight Instructor and Check Airman from 2004 -2005
- Hired as First Officer on Embraer Jet at American Eagle Airlines based at Chicago O'Hare International Airport in the summer of 2005.
