Eugene W. Steele graduated from the USAF Aviation Cadet Program September 1952 (52-Fox) at Laredo, Texas, trained in F-86 Sabres at Nellis AFB, Nevada. He flew combat missions with the 4th Fighter Wing in Korea 1953-54. Instructed in F-86s at Williams AFB, Arizona and the USAF Academy, Denver Colorado. Eugene is a charter member of the F-86 Sabre Pilot Association. He retired from active duty December 31, 1981 at Hurlburt AFB, FL.
