Began flying career as an Air Cadet at Bryant AFB, Texas. Served with Ohio Air National Guard at Columbus, Ohio as Flight Instructor. Activated in 1960 to patrol Berlin Wall, Flying F-100 fighter out of Etain AFB, France. Employed by United Airlines in 1963 flying Caravelle, DC-8 and Boeing 727. Career ended prematurely when he suffered a fatal heart attack at Stapleton Airport in Denver while boarding a flight as Captain. He is greatly missed by wife Eleanor and Daughter Laura.
