    Honored by:

Glenn Venables was one of many dedicated engineers and scientists who stood on the shoulders of giants to accomplish “one giant leap for mankind” during the NASA Apollo Program. Mr. Venables was a member of the NASA-Houston Mission Planning and Analysis Division from 1968 to 1972. This indomitable team of highly skilled engineers developed the detailed plans and analyses necessary to safely execute the Apollo lunar landing missions. The planning required innovative mathematical formulations of astrodynamics and flight mechanics problems combined with robust computer modeling and simulation while using the limited computing capability of the 1960s.
