    Gordon Sharp is a retired professional journalist and artist
    who has done work for the National Air & Space Museum on the model Montgolfier hot-air balloon. Born just four years after Charles Lindberg's historic flight, He became a life-long air and space enthusiast and joined the United States Air Force after graduating from Allentown High School in Allentown, PA in 1949, Barred by his youth, education and a slight color blindness from flight training,
    He served in the Korean War as a radioman and continues to write today.
