Gordon L. Baldry, Captain, United States Army Air Corps, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for Extraordinary Achievement while participating in aerial flights as a Staff Sergeant Pilot from October 10, 1942 to January 23, 1943, during the Guadalcanal Campaign in the South Pacific.
