    1stLt Hardin E. (Gene) Littell flew 26 combat missions in the F-86 Sabre Jet with the 336th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, 4th Fighter Interceptor Wing, at K-14 (Kimpo) in Korea.

    Discharged from the Air Force in September 1955, he attended Kansas University, receiving an engineering degree in 1957. He worked for major oil companies as a petroleum engineer until 1971. He became a petroleum engineering consultant to numerous large and small independent oil and gas operators until retiring in 1995.

    Married in 1955, two sons and five grandchildren. Now (2002) living on Lake Texoma on the Texas-Oklahoma border.
