    Honored by:

    Harold Speer entered the U.S. Army Air Force in December 1943. Became an aerial gunner on B-24 bomber named "Wandering Wanda." Stationed with the 453rd Bomb Group, 8th Air Force in Buchingham, England. Our last mission was bombing Berlin in April 1945.

    After the war went to Centre College, graduated in 1949, and re-entered the USAF with a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant and wings as a jet fighter pilot. Flew F-84s, F-86s, and F-100s over the next 13 years. Honorably discharged from the service in 1964.

    Settled in Knoxville, Tennessee with my family and have been selling Fords for Ted Russell Ford Company for 30 years.
