Founded an electronic specialist distributor in 1946. Flew from 1953 to 1995, calling on the aerospace industry. Owned five multi-engine and two single-engine aircraft.
Voluntarily stopped flying at age 75. Flew in all U.S. states except Alaska and Hawaii. Enjoyed flying very much and consider an airplane an extremely valuable tool.
Am a past president of the National Electronics Distributors Association (1968). NEDA was in CHI from 1936 until recently, now in Atlanta. Still own Powell Electronics.
