    Major Harold J. Barbret was born 9 June, 1922 at Detroit, Michigan. Entered service 29 January 1943. Received his commission May 1944. Assigned P-47 training. Flew 24 combat hours with 333rd Fighter Sqdn on JE Shima. After WWII, Received various communication & electronic assignment s on Okinawa and the U. S. In Dec. 1951 reassigned to Korea and flew 75 combat missions in Psychological warfare in an unarmed C-47. Was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters. In Dec. 1957 was assigned to Taiwan as Missile Guidance Officer. Retired Jan. 1963 at Selfridge AFB, Michigan
