    Industrial engineer. At age 92 he still remembers the flying lessons he took in the 1930s on bi-planes. During World War II he worked for Martin Aircraft at Offutt Field, Omaha, Nebraska retrofitting B series planes as bombers. He worked for United Airlines in Omaha and San Francisco from 1949 to 1959. Lockheed Missiles and Space Company in Sunnyvale, California hired him in 1959. He worked there as an industrial and facilities engineer until his retirement in 1977.
