Space Shuttle APU Gas Generator – Sr. Principal Design Engineer. Rocket Research Corp developed a Hydrazine gas generator, the power source for the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU). Form which the gimbaling of the main engines and Booster Nozzles and the complete Hydraulic Systems depend. The core of the generator operates at 1800deg.s F. while the fuel valve three inches away has a maximum temperature 200 deg.s F. The challenges of the project was everything a career engineer could ask for. Very proud of this achievement.
