Jim parlayed an interest in engineering into an aerospace career only after a friend convinced him to attend a Purdue University job fair which the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) happened to be attending.
Upon hearing the pitch he was hooked and began a series of five co-operative semesters at the Johnson Space Center while in school.
He welcomed the opportunity of a full time job after graduation in 1997 and has since supported a variety of exciting NASA endeavors.
