James Stewart, an actor with a military background, who portrayed Charles A. Lindbergh in the movie ‘Spirit of St. Louis’. The film was about Lindbergh’s historic solo flight across the Atlantic in May of 1927. The “Spirit of St. Louis” film opened at Radio City Music Hall in New York on February 21, 1957. Without the James Stewart dedication and knowledge of the project the film might never have been completed.
