James T. 'Jim' Schultz served in the United States Air Force 1972-1979. He was commissioned through the Air Force ROTC program upon graduation from Arizona State University in 1972. Jim was assigned to USAF undergraduate pilot training at Webb AFB, Texas. Upon successful completion of pilot training in 1973 and awarding of his USAF silver wings, Jim was assigned to fly the front seat of the supersonic F4 Phantom II. During his military service, Jim also served as an operations officer in the USAF security police overseas. It was during his time flying that Jim developed his trademark 'don't forget who packs your parachute' approach to leadership. His post-military career included executive management positions in both the public and private sectors. After 40+ years in the business trenches Jim retired in 2007. Since then, Jim has been a a keynote speaker, executive coach, and consultant to clientele in high consequence industries. He is the co-author of “Leading People Safely - How to Win on the Business Battlefield,” an Amazon best seller in it’s category right after release in 2016.
