J.D. had a love of planes since childhood in the 1930’s. He served in the Korean War in a T-33 squadron here in the states as part of a training squadron. J.D. got out of the Air Force in 1954 and purchased a 1946 Cessna 140. He enjoyed flying into the 1990’s in many different airplanes including WACO’s and Stearmans.
