John Kevin Loignon (1964-2002). An engineer with the National Security Agency, John had a second career as a flight instructor at Leesburg Airport, and began a third career in 2000 as a J41 First Officer with Atlantic Coast Airlines at Washington Dulles International Airport.

John's contribution to aviation was instilling his passion for flying in others. This memorial is a testament to the lives of all the pilots, flight instructors, and students he touched. A patient, understanding instructor and friend, John's enthusiasm for aviation was contagious and lives on in those he inspired to achieve their own aviation dreams.
