Entered flight training Nov. 1951. Graduated Dec. 19, 1952 as a 2nd.Lt. Sent to Lawson AFB, Ft .Benning, GA.
Jan. 1953 for two months of combat crew training. Sent to Brady AFB outside Fukuoka, Japan in March 1953 until October 1954. Flew C46 transport aircraft to Korea during that conflict and to the Philippine Islands, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and to Iwo Jima and Guam.
Returned to United States and was assigned to Brookley AFB, Mobile, Alabama flying C131 Convairs as a Air Evac pilot until honorable discharge Dec. 19, 1955 as a 1st Lt.
