Spent 22 weeks Radio Operator Mechanic, ACTS Scott Field, Illinois. 25 missions on B-17 in England, October 22, -1942 to October 28, 1943. Distinguished Flying Cross awarded July 7, 1943. Other decorations: Air Medal and 3 Oak Clusters, American Defense Service Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal with clasp. Served in California Air National Guard September 1946 - September 1952. Member of Air Force Association for some 55 years up to and including Member of National Board.
