    Honored by:

I, Judith A. Foster, was born June 4, 1946 in Concord, MA. My love of air travel and work within the travel industry has spanned over thirty years.

An airline career that began in 1969 as a Flight Attendant with Eastern Airlines, based out of Chicago's O'Hare field. Back then, Eastern's motto was, 'Smiling Faces, Going Places' and although the job was harried at times, it was fun. Looking further back to elementary school when asked what vocation I had in mind for myself, my response was a 'Stewardess.' So folks, never underestimate a child's determination.

Later, I became a travel consultant (1973) and for thirteen years obtained invaluable knowledge of the travel and transportation field. Many firsthand travel experiences were exciting as well as educational.

Employment as a Reservations Sales & Service Representative with United Airlines started in Atlanta, GA (1986). Primary duties were to promote, sell and ticket United's flight schedules and other special services. This office transformed into the Covia Customer Support Center/Apollo Help Desk (1988) and its goal was to help travel professionals become proficient with the Apollo computer system and automation within their offices. I became a Technical Support Consultant and ultimately an Apollo expert.

Reluctantly, I left Georgia behind and transferred back to United Reservations (1992) and joined staff at the Washington Dulles Reservations Center. I concluded my career there with early retirement (2002) after sixteen years of loyal and dedicated service.

For the airline Industry, I contributed many good years of front-line experience while maintaining a smile in my voice, along with portraying a 'Welcome to my Home' image. My goal was to be consistent and have fun while generating revenue to keep United in business and the aircraft flying. The results being an immensely rewarding and fulfilling career for which I've been proud to have participated.
