Attended flying schools under the Gulf Coast Training Command. Graduated in Class 43I at Lubbock, TX. Went to B-24 transition school at Liberal, KS, and was assigned as pilot-combat crew in 446th B.G., 8th Air Force. Recalled in 1951. Was assigned to USAFE. Awarded DFC and four Air Medals.
