    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:

I flew the F-86 Sabre jet at Nellis AFB in the summer of 1953. I was going through gunnery school at that time. In the fall of 1953 (Nov. 13th, Friday) I ejected on my last flight for the program. I was grounded (physically) for six months mending my back injury. When I got back flying again it was in the F-86 all weather fighters. To this day the best fighter aircraft that I have flown is the F-86 day fighter.
