She served as Director of Nursing, with the rank of Lieutenant Commander, in the Republic of China Naval Medical Hospital in Taiwan from 1962 to 1968.
After retiring from the Republic of China Navy, she immigrated to the US and served as Senior Oncology Nurse in the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, from 1978 to 1988.
She is active in community and alumni services and served as President of the Republic of China National Defense Medical Center's Washington, DC Alumni Association for over 10 years.
