?»?Lt Col James C. Warren is an original Tuskegee Airman and a veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He flew a total of 173 combat missions. Earning the DFC with two Oak Leaf Clusters the Air medal with 10 Oak Leaf Clusters, The Meritorious Service Medal with two Oakleaf Clusters,the Air Force Commendation Medal His flying career of over 12,000 hours was highlighted by being selected as the navigator of :Homecoming One" the first C-141 to fly into Gia Lam, North Vietnam, to return the first group of American POWs to Clark Air Base , Philippines. He was part of the Apollo recovery team flying the crew from Pango Pango , American Samoa to the Manned Space Center in Houston. He graduated from the University of Nebraska. He is a life member of a number of organization including: Kappa Alpha Psi,Vietnam Veterans ,the Tuskegee Airman, Inc., Disabled American veterans, The Distinguished Flying Cross Society,and the Military Officers association of America. He entered the Army Air Forces in March 1943 and retired thirty five years later in November 1978
