    LT R P "Bondo" Bondi USNR Ret.

    LT Bondi was first interested in aviation at a very young age, and is a frequent visitor to the NASM. Enticed by the movie "Top Gun" in 1986, LT Bondi began to explore attaining a commission in the USN. He was commissioned an Ensign in the USN in 1988 through AOCS at NAS Pensacola, FL. He then worked his way through flight school in VT-10 and VT-86. He earned his NFO "Wings of Gold" in 1990. Selected to fly the A-6E Intruder, he flew in VA-42 at NAS Oceana. He also served with VA-65 and MATWING-1. He has flown the T-34C, T-2B/C, T-47, TA-4J, TC-4C, and the Intruder.

    After the Navy, he continued flying as a pilot, while attending Flight Safety in Vero Beach, FL. He has flown numerous civilian aircraft as pilot in command. He currently lives in Pittsburgh, PA with his wife and three kids.
