    From 1958 to 1964, was an original member of the Field Test Force within the Director Operations Staff controlling and operating military AGENA satellites for space-based reconnaissance and photography, with space capsule data recovery via "air snatch" near Hawaii.

    From 1964 to 1969, assigned to NASA in the Apollo Program Office, Washington, D.C. as Apollo Program Management Officer and Technical Director for the Boeing Apollo Program, Technical Integration and Evaluation contract. Provided management through the Apollo mission to the moon.

    From 1970 to 1979 flew the Apollo Range Instrumentation Aircraft (ARIA) in support of the Apollo, Apollo-Soyuz, Skylab, and Voyager 1 and 2 missions for exploration of the outer solar system.
