    Mr. Jay Bailey

During his nearly 23 year Air Force career, Lt. Col. Charles Edmond Bailey enjoyed a variety of operational and staff duties relating to the tanker aircraft. Logging over 4,000 hours of KC-135A and KC-10A flying time, his leadership and contributions to military aviation included service as an instructor pilot, follow-on test and evaluation pilot , Squadron Commander and Director of Operations. In the field, he flew numerous combat missions during the Vietnam War and Desert Storm, he was one of so many heroes who sacrificed and dedicated themselves to the preservation of freedom. These, his gifts to aviation and to all of us, his giving of knowledge, support, guidance and inspiration will always touch the lives around him, no one more so than the life he gave me.
This is dedicated to the honor of my father, Chuck Bailey. I love you Dad.
