    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:
    Aurora K. Pajeau Md MPH

My father, a West Point student at the time, joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and went to Duxford. I believe he flew over Dieppe returning to the airfield in England.
When America sent forces, he returned to the U. S. and became part of the U. S. Army Air Corps. He returned to Duxford and helped form the 350th Fighter Group in October, 1942. He designed the 345th Fighter Squadron emblem-The Devilhawks and coined the term "The Best Damn Fighter Squadron."
He then successfully completed the P-39 "low and lean" flight to North Africa, then to Tarquinia, then to home.
