February 1943 - Enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corp. In September 1943 entered Aviation Cadet Program as Student Pilot. In May 1944 graduated from Cadet Training Program as 2nd Lt. (Pilot). Flew Martin B-26 in W.W. II for 27 Combat Missions while based in France. Left active duty in June 1946. Accepted Commission as Reserve Capt. and flew AT-6's and C-47's until February 1952. Was recalled to Active Duty until August 1969. During this period flew B-25's, C-47's, Cessna 310's, North American T-39's, Boeing B-47's
and B-52's.
