    Major General Lucius Theus, USAF (Ret) is President of the management consulting firm of The U S Associates, a Principal and Director of The Wellness Group, Inc. and a member of several corporate and university boards of directors.

    He entered the Army Air Corps as a basic airman and retired as a Major General and Commander of the U.S. Air Force Accounting & Finance Center and Deputy Director of the Defense Security Assistance Agency responsible for accounting for all Air Force funds and funds generated by sales of all military equipment and services to foreign nations. He provided basic military training to some of the famed Tuskegee Airmen during World War II and later served in various command and staff positions in the United States, Germany, France, Greece and South Vietnam.

    Theus became the first and only mission support officer of the Tuskegee Airmen to be promoted to General and only the third African American in the entire history of the United States Air Force to achieve that rank.

    Theus earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, a Master of Business Administration from George Washington University and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program and is a recipient of an honorary Degree of Doctor of Business Administration from Madonna University. He is also a distinguished graduate of both the Air War College and the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.

    Theus' decorations and honors include the U.S. Air Force's highest peacetime award - The Distinguished Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Harvard Business School's Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award and Boy Scouts of America's Silver Beaver Award. The Major General Lucius Theus Auditorium of the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute was so dedicated in his honor. Upon retiring from active military service, Theus joined The Bendix Corporation as Assistant Corporate Controller and subsequently became Corporate Director of Civic Affairs for that company and its parent, Allied-Signal Corporation. He currently volunteers his services to a number of nonprofit youth organizations. Theus' biography is included in Who's Who in the World, Who's Who in America, Who's Who Among Black Americans and in other publications. He is married to the former Gladys Marie Davis of Chicago, Illinois. They reside in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
