    Mark Steiner has been an engineer for NASA at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD since his graduation from Penn State in 1983. He remembers avidly following space events all his life. During his undergraduate studies he developed a complete telemetry system for scientific suborbital sounding rockets. Mark has worked on several space shuttle payloads and was the Mission Manager for Spartan free-flyers on STS-63 (1995) and STS-77 (1996). As of 2992, Mark is a Senor Systems Engineer at Goddard, working on advanced concepts and technologies. He also is active in ARISS - the Amateur Radio on the International Space Station. His amateur radio call sign is K3MS. His wife, Melissa and children, Jonathan and Michelle, support him in his space interests.
