Major Marv Schindler graduated from the U.S. Army Rotary Wing Flight School in 1964 and served three combat tours in Vietnam.
He flew over 1700 combat flight missions in UH-1 Gunships, C-47 Chinooks, and L-19 Bird dogs. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross four times.
Major Schindler retired from the United States Army in 1982
